Pizza

Pizza

The task: The task today was to create a pizza in the time that we had (though our teacher got confused with the days so we were rushed).

The process: First we gathered all our topping ingredients and the dry ingredients for the dough. Then I diced the onions, cut the peppers into small squares and the mushrooms followed by pineapple. While I was doing that my other teammate was cutting the salami and ham into shreds. Then another teammate was busy kneading the dough and separating it. At that point, it was time to put the toppings of our choice onto our little pizza.

Skills within the team: My team worked well, best we've been so far. Most participated in the jobs and there was no attitude from anyone today which was good.

Feedback: I received feedback from another school student saying it was very good and the toppings were great.

Next steps for myself: The next steps would be to continue working on my behavior and getting everything organized and make sure everyone has a job to do.

Vegetarian sushi

Vegetarian Sushi

The task; The task today was to prepare and make sushi rolls. Starting by washing and cutting the carrots, cucumber, celery, and peppers into long skinny log strips. Then using bamboo sushi rolling mat we spread the rice to the edges apart from leaving a 2cm gap at the start for the rolling space onto the seaweed followed by the pre-cut veggies and we rolled.

Skills within the team; The group done extremely well, prepared everything correctly. They were also happy with the outcome of their sushi rolls.

Improvements; Some need to continue improving their listening and following instructions.

Feedback; The feedback I was given from another student in our class that I had given my sushi to said it was better than their sushi they made so I am happy with the feedback.

Next steps for myself; Not getting annoyed over the teammate's actions at times when they aren't listening.

Fish and chips


Fish and chips

Task; Our task was to cook and make fish and chips within our group.

Skills within our team; My group worked well better than last time. some worked better than others with the instructions.

Improvements; Having less of an attitude, listening to instructions or what they need to do that was given the leader, follow the recipe properly and carefully.

Feedback; I collected feedback from one of my friends and they said the chips were well cooked and seasoned well.

Texture; The fish was cooked good and proper. the chips were aswell they needed a little more cooking for some.

Next step; Getting jobs that are given done and not standing around

The process; We gathered the raw ingredients such as the potatoes and raw fish. we washed and the potatoes up into long chip-like pieces after drying them and after we cut the fish into four even pieces and seasoned them both and put them in the oven.

The task; The task was to create jam drops within our team successfully in an hour.

Improvements; Adding ingredients at the right time, having everything in the oven on time.

feedback; I received positive feedback from a staff member saying they were very yummy.

The texture. The color looked fairly well done though the process the mixture wasn't right.

The next steps for myself will be organizing my teammates with jobs evenly and making sure others are getting involved not standing around and checking to see if they are correctly following instructions.

English - My persuasive writing- Should drugs be allowed in sports

Sports and Recreation - Drugs should be allowed in sports. Arguing against

Planning:
With the use of drugs in sports it has put a major effect on unbalancing the fair chances in sports.

Olympic sports are being ruined by drug use. I strongly believe that performance-enhancing drug use in sports should be banned. This is because it gives the users an unfair advantage over genuine competitors as well as a negative reputation. This results in not only detrimental short-term and long-term health effects but also can damage the person's sporting image severely.

Any interaction with performance-enhancing drugs in sports should be illegal. Many famous sports players put all of their time and effort into training to be good and be rewarded, but drug intake take puts unfair advantages who have worked very hard to get where they are and where they are going to. Sportsmen such as Tyger Woods who consumed many drugs in 2015 such as Xanax, Vicodin and a couple more. Many other players used steroids to enhance their appearance and body strength, for instance, Ben Johnson with a 100-meter dash, Roy Jones Jr for boxing and Shoaib Akhtar with his cricket career.

However, unfairness isn't the only thing that drugs ruin. Your health is another one. Any drug usually has bad effects such as bad breakout of acne, liver disease, heart disease, increase the change of mood and over an excessive amount of oil in the face and hair. These dangerous effects can stick with you long term depending on what substance is taken. While consuming drugs they can also lead to suicide and depression thoughts due to not being in the right mindset or headspace.

Lastly, children who are exposed to athletes taking drugs through media may influence them into consuming drugs especially if the athlete is considered a role model. For instance, if a child's athlete role model has been discovered using drugs, a 50% chance the child could possibly copy their actions. If a child idolizes an athlete and wants to follow in their footsteps, they may think the drugs the athlete takes is a step toward being more like them.

In conclusion, The main reasons drugs should not be in sports are; unfair advantages on others who do not consume performance-enhancement drugs in their sport, bad effects on your physical and mental health, and may also influence and encourage children to use stimulant drugs.

Circuit Building Challenge

In Science, our task was to construct 3 circuits.
Circuit one containing; A circuit with 1x Light Bulb, 1x Power Supply, 1x Voltmeter, 1x Ammeter.
Circuit two containing; A parallel circuit with 2x Light Bulbs, 1x Switch that turns one bulb off/on, 2x Ammeters at two different points in the circuit.
Circuit three is a little different we had to design a circuit that could be used in a hallway with a light bulb in the middle. The hallway had to have a switch at each end that can both turn on the light, as well as turn it off. Each switch needed to be able to work this way by itself.
