Level Two - Art2 - Portfolio

For my second class of art, I have taken up printmaking/lino print. My inspiration is the artwork from Mervyn Williams. Mervyn is inspired by his own work and goes with whatever he desires. his art is much like Picasso and Matisse. I am very interested in his work through his color choices and the style of his work, the "trippy" like style which plays with your eyes if you stare at it for too long.

Update: 30/9/21
I have been working on four boards this year due to taking 2 art classes. As an update for the printmaking board, I was given the opportunity to continue on with my Level One board from last year and finish off that. I've kept the theme of it as butterflies, roses, gold, and geometric patterns.

Here is my board layout with its current artwork attached:

Here you see that I have the original flower drawings at the top, there is still one piece I have to touch upon as well as starting my 2 printmaking pieces. As well as including the original big piece at the bottom right.

Here is the layout for my second board:

I plan to make a series of pieces with the top left artwork and then create a new piece and do the same process for the bottom right 4 positions. And then just a random big piece on the bottom left.

so far for the process of making the new series work, I have created this which I am still in the process of making to connect with my theme.

I have then been working on another big piece to fill in a spot that I'm still trying to figure out. That is attached below:
