Zombie Apocalypse Medical Group

Explanation

Why is your group most important?

I believe that our group could be important because if we have somehow got bitten then we would be able to treat it but if we didn't have any first aid WE WOULD DIE.

How we made our project:

Herbs
signs
medical flag
water fall
pond
gate
real herbs (mint)
bark and stones
                                                    This is our model

These are some herbs that can help you

Sammy Sustainability LO3

I think that I have LO3 because I have thrown in some facts and my questions and I have explained the 2 important questions that I thought would be important.

Sammy Sustainability LO2

Why are bees important?
Bees are important because they help us live if they would have become extinct then humanity would to Because bees play a big part in the world they have to pollinate and collect all the nectar from our crops and flowers and also our crops wont look the same like they are now we would have less food to eat.

Could we carry out a bees job?

Yes, but it would be hard because we would need a special tool to collect the nectar and the pollen so our crops will survive.

I think I reached the LO2 because I have explained what we could do if bees died out but I could have added more questions.

Sammy Sustainability LO1

I think that I have reached LO1 because I have explained what we can do to save the future for humanity and bees.

Sammy's narrative story ( The whole story )

On a dark gloomy night. A little girl was reeling up an old raggedy bucket full of water. Then she heard a noise, she turned to the noise nothing was there except for the moonlit moon. She went back to reeling the old bucket, then there was another noise, but this time she was that shocked that she let go of the bucket, “Splash” The bucket slammed into the water.

There was no light, she looked around the moon was gone. She backed up and  turned back to the well, then suddenly a moonlit light appeared in front of her face. She screamed and jumped like a flea jumping to another animal. The peculiar flying creature backed away from her and rushed to hid behind some trees, When it peaked up it and sneezed, sparkles shoot out of its nose and appeared above her. As the sparkles faded away she started to smile.

The moon ghost swooped towards me again and had this huge weird silver chain in its hand. She smiled but then she thought that she was getting attacked but no she wasn’t the moon ghost was lifting her up then putting her down to make her happy. Then he put his hand in the well and pulled out the old bucket and gave it to her> Then the moon ghost flew back up to the dark star lit night. She was looking at the dim reflection in the bucket full of water. The moon ghost faded and became one with the moon and sky.

Samantha's writing with Whaea Chris

The lights flickered and then went off, then the sirens started, it was coming, and we knew it wouldn’t be the last time. You could hear planes swooping down and gunshots everywhere. I was all alone trying to gather as much stuff in a suitcase as fast as I could. I couldn’t see very well my eyes were starting to get blurry and, I turned around smoke was everywhere, I started to cough...

And here is another story

Wrapped up warm against the icy fingers of dust, the caretaker closed the cemetery gates, who was watching him? I looked at the person, they were wearing a black jacket with the hood on than they had a paper mask covering their face and blue track pants, they had white shoes with some sort of red gooey stuff at the front at first I thought “That couldn’t be blood could it?”
I walked to my car to find that and a drip of blood running down my car door saying you're next...

Sammy's narrative story 20/9

On a dark gloomy night. A little girl was reeling up an old raggedy bucket full of water. Then she heard a noise, she looked around but nothing was there except for the moon. She went back to reeling up the bucket, then another rustling noise again, she dropped the bucket in the well and had a closer look around then turned around to the well then a light appeared she quickly.

Sustainability

Aim: I want to find out how to grow a sustainable garden.

Research:

I want to grow:

- Cabbage to be ready in November-December.
- Broccolli to be ready in November-December
- Corn to be ready in November-December.
- Carrots to be ready in November-December.
- Lettuce to be ready in October-December.

Self watering system: Sprinkling diaper crystals into the soil. The soil will slowly absorb the moist crystals, keeping the soil moist for the plants.

Keeping pests away: Put ground coffee into the soil to keep slugs and cats away who hate it, put netting over the garden to protect the plants and put ladybugs in your garden.

Method:

Equipment:

Weeding/Gardening Tools
Seeds
Diapers + water
Scissors
String
1m ruler
Stakes

Instructions:

1. Mark out a 2x2 metre plot with string, stakes, and a ruler.
2. Pull out all of the weeds and sow the soil around.
3. Mix in your fertilizer, diaper crystals and coffee in with the soil .

The Dirtiest place in the school?

Aim: To find the dirtiest place at HHS

Hypothesis: I think the Gym floor is the dirtiest place because lots of people go there to play around and they get all sweaty and then it drips every where.

Equipment: Cotton buds,Agar dishes, cellotape

Method: Take cotton bud and wipe it firmly over the surface, then wipe it across the agar jelly carefully. Seal the agar plate with cellotape and write the location on the tape. Store upside down in a dark location.

The cleanest place was Mr stocks door handle because there was nothing on there.

The dirtiest place is the Gym floor because there was a whole agar was full of yellow.

I was surprised that Mr stocks door handle because he does experience.

The Rc laptop grew the most fungus

The gym floor has the most bacteria

Discussion:
When I taste it, a explosion of salt in my mouth I made a funny face as I bite it.

Why did we salt the meat?
We salted the meat because salt dehydrate the meat so the mould and bacteria can't grow.

Growing Mold

Question>what causes bread to go off
Hypothesis>being left in the air, Being moist/damp/humid,being left in a warm place
Equipment>1/2 slice of bread sandwich  bag ( per slice) 1/2 a paper towel 10mls of water
method>

JPEG Image
This was some bread I thought that was interesting

what is the best condition for growing mold?
having it in the dark place and with air in the bag and water because the bread soaks up the water and having no light for then the sun will not get the bread hot.

Mold is mold is kind of a good thing because penicillin is good for getting rid of bugs.

what is green mold?

Science Badge Question 7

How does milk become yogurt

Hypothesis> I think milk becomes yogurt because milk thickens if you add cream and mix it up then add fruit then put in the freezer.

Materials> Milk,Yogurt (fresh plain)

Method> In a beaker add 150mls of trim milk and 2tsps of Acidophilus  yogurt.stir to mix. leave out over night.Repeat this for the cream and with trim(milk)

observation

trim-When I looked at the trimed milk it looked normal it looked like milk ,With bubbles
cream- When I looked at the cream Ihad a hard look at it and it was a light yellow
blue- When I looked at the blue milk it looked flat ,No bubbles or anything

At what temp does bacteria?

What temp is a fridge?
What is the healthy temp of a human?

The cream one looks like this

The cream smells gross

The blue looks like this
It smells like milk

And the trim looks like this
It smells like yogurt

What happened to change it
The bacteria reproduced
The bacteria fed off the sugar in the milk
The trim milk made a thinner type of yogurt than the others because it has less sugar.

We let the milk stay out for 2 days and then placed the the beakers in the fridge. The results were not very good but it could change.

If we got to do it again I would leave the milk in the fridge for longer.

What I am doing in science

                    Benjamin Franklin

In 1752. It was on a dark afternoon in Philadelphia. Benjamin Franklin a 46 year-old man who decided to fly a kite. With some help from his son William. They attached his kite to a silk string, he tied an old iron key at the end. Then they tied a thin metal wire from the key and inserted the wire into a Leyden jar.
     ←
That is a container for storing an electrical charge ,Finally as the sky darkened and a thunderstorm approached,
He attached a long piece of silk ribbon to the key. Holding onto the kite by the silk ribbon, when the kite flew up into the air, He retreated into a barn so that he wouldn’t get wet. The thunder storm clouds passed over Franklin's kite. The negative charges in the cloud passed onto his kite down the wet silk string, to the key, and into the jar. Ben however, was unaffected by the negative charges because he was holding the dry silk ribbon, insulating him from the charges on the key. When he moved his free hand near the iron key,
He received a shock. Why? Because the negative charges in the key were so strongly attracted to the positive charges in his body, a spark jumped from the key to his hand.
or The electricity struck the string of the kite because of the key the electricity reacts to metal and stikes the key then the lighting runs down the line.

<--- here is a drawing of him flying the kite
